There are many ways on how to apply for credit card. You can go online, fill out an application form and sent it by mail or call a credit card company. But the easiest ways is to apply in the internet. If you go for a research, pick the one that has various chart offers of different card companies. This chart must have the list of different rates and promotions where each credit card company has to offers. It must include the annual fees, cash back awards, APR rate, balance transfer and others. In this way you can pick which one you think best for you.
Now you're ready to apply for credit card. There are some things that you need to consider so that you not waste your money and fall into big debts.
The first thing that you should look for is the APR rate. Most economic experts recommend choosing credit card companies that offers low interest rate. It is because the lower the APR rate, the lower you'll have to pay. Getting the credit card that has low interest rate can mean big difference between savings and long term debt.
Another important thing to consider is the transactional fees or annual fees. The question is, how much will you pay? Some companies have annual fees for you to become a member. Usually it ranges from $25 to a hundred of dollars. Most of the credit card companies also charge a fee once you use credit card for cash advances, exceed your credit limit or make a late payment. The bad thing in some credit card companies is they charge a fee for every transaction you make.
Another feature that you must look for in credit card is its security. Many credit card companies guarantees a great customer security. It includes steps on how to prevent identity thefts and lessening of liability of the owners once the card was used by an unauthorized person.
The most important thing in having a credit card is to control all your expenses in using your card. Also settle your account in due time to prevent big debts. If you are not sure of your capacity to pay, never apply a credit card.
